EXPERIENCE MATTERS!

Hello Friends and Supporters

EXPERIENCE MATTERS! I am asking for your support to continue representing principled leadership and a voice of fiscal restraint at City Hall during this critical time in our City. I will continue to draw on my 24 years of experience in City leadership positions. I am absolutely committed to working to help protect Houston neighborhoods, improve Houston’s infrastructure, fiscal and safety needs.

Your support of local candidates and issues impacting our community are to be commended. It is not the time for new or increases in fees, taxes or permitting requirements. Citizens and businesses are struggling already. We must reduce the spending at City Hall and get back to the delivery of “core services” such garbage collection, water, infrastructure issues and safety services.

As Houston moves forward, we must get better prepared to deal with issues such as public safety, budget restraints, critical infrastructure repairs, and many others. Having been a resident of the city of Houston since 1979, a member of Houston City Council, and Chief of Police for 7 years, I understand the various characteristics of the Houston community and appreciate the efforts to focus on neighborhood needs.

I need your help to gear up this year’s campaign and continue the work at City Hall. Help me to utilize my experience, education and training to fight against increases in fees and taxes, create more after-school programs, and get the City back to focusing on the delivery of “core services.”
